We often seek out a place to be alone, whether that is on
our yoga mat in the park, with our headphones on a long walk home, or simply
sitting on a bench taking a breath.
In these moments we feel alone and as if this space is our own. Here, we seek to bring to light the
cross-section of people, activities and change that happens on this small patch
of land. A place such as this has
the ability to connect us across time and culture and age. Next time you are in “your spot” think
not only of the wonder of the world around you, but the world you are a part
of. Think of the others who have
sat where you sat, where engagement rings were given, skinny dippers jumped and
where meteor showers were applauded- think of the joy of such a place. There
really must be something special about “your place” because we, all of us, find
community in some place.
